Founded in 2008 by Bioversity International, Event International and CIRAD with support from the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), ICCO, Guittard Chocolate, Barry Callebaut, Mars and Puratos-Belcolade, Cacao of Excellence is led by the Alliance of Bioversity International and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), part of the CGIAR.
