The Africa & the Indian Ocean distinctions form part of the 2025 Edition evaluation cycle, which assessed 191 nationally selected samples from 45 origins under blind conditions. Results were presented on 20 February 2026 at the Chocoa Trade Fair in Amsterdam.

Recognised producers represent Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Madagascar, Nigeria and Togo.

    These distinctions contribute to the 2025 Edition’s global field of 50 recognised producers across four regions.
